Following
you will find the instructions for our following exercise. Remember, these
podcasts ought to be ready for October 21st to be presented in
class.
As
stated in the course objectives, we are engaging in critical consciousness
about certain problems that arise when we try to make moral judgments. We will
explore them not for you to agree on them, but to question their validity and their
potential contributions, as well as point out their existing flaws as a means
of improving your awareness about them. For this assignment, you will create a
podcast where you need to take a critical yet reflexive stance about these
problems. You will address the following question: How those decisions we
make as free individuals will not affect others negatively yet they represent
who we are and believe in? (feel free to use examples to illustrate
your ideas) You will weave your argument relying on course literature and
additional sources from your own searching. The podcast should be somewhere
between 10 to 15 minutes long. This assignment must be in groups of maximum
four students. You will create it and bring it to class on October 21st.
You are at liberty to interview teachers, students, friends, family, faculty
members, and so on. However, their interventions cannot comprise more than 30%
of the podcast and they must be in English as well.
The
following are some websites and videos intended to help you pulling together
this assignment.
