Creating a New Society

A large area of Colombia has been set aside by the current government for the development of a new nation. This area will include an invited international community of 20,000 men and women. Imagine that you have to decide the laws of this new country.

Discuss the following questions.

1. Name the country.
2. Design a flag and a shield.
3. Which political system will the country have?
4. What will the official language(s) be?
5. Will there be censorship?
6. What industries will your country try to develop?
7. Will citizens be allowed to carry a gun?
8. Will there be the death penalty?
9. Will there be a state religion?
10. What kind of immigration policy will there be?

Remember, this activity is to be developed through this whole week, so everyone is ready to participate actively within the discussion of august 5th class.
